12x16 inch - Herring Pond Portstewart - Original Oil Painting

I visited Portstewart on the coast of Northern Ireland during the summer, and was hoping I might find somewhere nice for a swim, but didnt realise how freezing cold the water would be. One morning, whilst out taking photos, the locals were goading me on to try out the water and so I succumbed to the peer pressure and froze my toes off for all of 5 minutes in this pool of water, known as the Herring Pond. It was a delightful experience!

Dimension: 12x16 inch oil over acrylic on 300gsm paper (unframed)
